Bad Habit
Fall 2022A bad habit is defined as a “negative behavior pattern.” Bad habits usually form when one is stressed or bored. Biting your nails, smoking too much, taking/using drugs, binge eating, too much screen time, and staying up too late are prominent bad habits exhibited by individuals today. Bad habits slowly build up over time, consuming your daily life and your personality. It can become overpowering and hard to control. Bad habits have become normalized. Through commercials and public service announcements stating, for example, how bad smoking is, but people still indulge in it. As part of one's daily routine, it becomes much more difficult to break the cycle.
