For this inflatable, my group and I wanted to bring attention to the issues of nature and climate crisis. As this piece does not necessarily solve this issue, we are simply pointing to the problem and bringing this issue to the viewer’s attention. Having a tree being wrapped in this shape and material emphasizes the detachment and distance we have placed ourselves within nature. We try to morph nature for our benefit, or we try to solve this problem but do not make as big of an impact. For these reasonings, this project is supposed to start a conversation on our industrial impulses towards nature and our destruction towards nature, to the point where we are trying so hard to to preserve nature and its aspects. We are slowly seeing these natural limits dissolving to extinction.
